As of August 12, our loan amount is about $339,000t through the Presbyterian Loan and Investment Program. The amount of investments designated for Faith Church by the Synod of the Trinity and individual investors from the congregation now totals over $101,210. This means that when we receive another rebate check in January 2009, it will be calculated at a rate of 0.50 %. We only need $10,538 in additional investments designated for Faith to reach the next percentage level (0.75%) for our rebate.
While it is fantastic that PILP helps Faith Church in two ways, through our loan and the rebates, it is also true that the work of PILP encompasses projects to help churches all over the nation. Indeed, in our own Lehigh Presbytery there are currently three churches either receiving loans or in process to do so.
